On a recent visit to Phuket we walked north south from Patong and ended up at TriTrang beach where we spent the afternoon. This is a beautiful little beach and unlike Patong Beach…it is clean!
This is the resort and every room has a view over the ocean…
I had the best red curry crab dish at the cafe which is found under this bright blue awning…

We visited TriTrang during the low season which made the beach seem like a private beach…empty and quiet!

This is a great location to get away from the crowds and the noise of Patong. I am led to believe there is a hotel shuttle every hour or so back to several locations in Patong. If you like a good hike, you can walk (uphill) in 20 to 30 minutes. Failing that you can get a tuktuk for around 200 Baht / $US6.40 (negotiable) one way.
There are two smaller hotels under construction that will give the TriTrang Resort some competition…
Whatever you do…if you stay at the TriTrang Resort, do not get caught up in their Vacation Club Scheme. It is not what it seems.
